Overview:
This intermediate, hands-on course is designed for developers and technical professionals who wish to build and deploy complex, multi-agent AI systems on Google Cloud.
What you’ll learn:
- Build an agent equipped with tools using the Google Agent Development Kit (ADK).
- Establish interaction patterns between multiple agents using parent-child relationships and flows.
- Utilize advanced features such as session memory, artifact storage, and callbacks.
- Deploy a multi-agent application to Agent Runtime.
- Query and manage an agent app running on Agent Runtime.
Key Modules:
Module 01: Understand what AI agents are and how to build them. Explore the Agent Development Kit (ADK) and its role in building agentic systems.
Module 02: Learn ADK key concepts and the SDK, configure ADK, and explore the ADK project structure through hands-on examples. Interact with agents and use callbacks to control their behavior.
Lab: “Get Started with Google Agent Development Kit (ADK)” and “Empower ADK Agents with Tools” (optional: “Use Model Context Protocol (MCP) Tools with ADK Agents”)
Module 03: Discover how multi-agent systems are structured and how individual agents form part of a larger agentic architecture.
Lab: “Build Multi-Agent Systems with ADK”
Module 04: Explore Agent Runtime and learn how to develop and deploy agents to a fully managed, scalable environment.
Lab: “Deploy ADK Agents to Agent Runtime”
Module 05: Learn the types and methods of ADK evaluation, and run evaluations to test and validate your agent systems.

- Includes 4 core hands-on labs (plus an optional MCP tools lab) using the Agent Development Kit (ADK) and Agent Runtime.
- Designed for developers, ML engineers, and gen AI engineers with a good understanding of Python, prompt engineering, and gen AI tool use.
- Structural emphasis on multi-agent architecture, session memory, artifact storage, and production-ready deployment.
- Learners gain direct experience with ADK, agent orchestration patterns, and Agent Runtime.
