Google Cloud Storage and BigQuery

The workshop is divided into two parts:

The first focuses on storage, and the second focuses on BigQuery.In the first part, participants will learn about GCP storage options, including Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Cloud Spanner, Firestore, and Cloud Bigtable, and compare storage options. Participants will learn about each storage option’s unique features and use cases.

In the second part, participants will learn about the concept of a data warehouse, a column-based database, why BigQuery is essential, BigQuery UI, manage BigQuery, control usage costs, and design BigQuery tables to enhance performance.
Participants will also learn to work with complex data types such as struct, arrays, and JSONs.

By the end of the workshop, you will be able to manage, store, and large query datasets. You will also be equipped with the best practices to save money while querying and optimizing your queries to improve performance.

Prerequisite:
Have basic proficiency with the Google Cloud Platform.
Familiarity with Storage concepts and databases.

Level – Beginner

Important note: The class will be delivered in Hebrew. Participants must bring laptops to participate.
